Emlyn Scott

Managing Partner

Emlyn Scott is a Managing Partner at CP Ventures. He is a founder and angel investor with personal investments in fast growing tech companies like Metigy, Kami, Segna and OpenMarkets Group. He is a founder and director of OpenMarkets Group, Australia’s largest non-bank aligned retail broker turning over $40bn per year. He was former CEO of the National Stock Exchange of Australia, Australia’s second largest listing stock exchange, for four and a half years. Prior to that he was Head of Business Development at LCH.Clearnet for equities and CFDs in London for nine years, the world’s largest independent clearing house. He has four finance related degrees:

- Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment (GDAFI)

Chris Sang

General Partner

Chris Sang has an existing and growing angel investment portfolio of over 80 startups from US, Australia, NZ and Latin America. Two of these companies are unicorns (privately held and valued over $1bn) with several more expected to be valued over $1bn by the end of 2019. Chris’s angel investment portfolio has generated an IRR of over 50% since the first investments in 2014. He has co-invested with Tier 1 Venture Capital firms in the US such as LightSpeed Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz (A16z), Data Collective, Boost VC, Bessemer Venture Partners, Next View Ventures, Expansion Capital Ventures, Right Side Capital Management, Decent Capital (China), Y-Combinator, 500 Startups, TechStars and YC Continuity Fund. Chris has had a diverse career in systems development & consulting with startups, SME and large-scale enterprises across the banking, insurance & auto-industry verticals spanning 25+ years. Using his extensive experience in IT he has applied this with vigour to finding and investing in some of the fastest growing early stage companies around the globe as well as advising his portfolio of investments.

Glenn Butcher

Venture Partner

Glenn is an ex executive of Amazon Web Services who is responsible for founding Amazon's software engineering capability in Sydney and an ex director at Atlassian where he led a 50-person division creating product and supporting 10,000 customer teams. Glenn invests in early stage startups using technology to transform the world. He can assist startups of any size improve their culture, recruiting operations and engineering practices. Glenn has an incredibly unique skill set in scaling technology. At Brandscreen he ran team of less than 15 developers and a marketplace with similar volume to Twitter.

Deepak Natarajan

Deepak Natarajan is a technology industry veteran whose career spans 35 years as a venture capitalist, startup executive, and as a global marketing and sales executive at pioneering companies across the technology spectrum. During the past 8 years, Mr. Natarajan ran Intel Capital's SEA and ANZ operations from Singapore, and served on the boards of 10 Intel Capital portfolio companies. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Natarajan spent 27 years in Silicon Valley and established an excellent track record as a venture capitalist (Redwood Ventures, Storm Ventures), startup executive (Seeker Software and Roamware), and as a global marketing and sales executive (Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, and Autodesk).

Mark Maloney

Investment Committee

Mark was the CEO & Managing Director of The MAC services, which the Maloney family listed on the ASX in 2007 and then exited for $689m in 2011. Mark then moved into CEO and Managing Director of Tulla Group, The Maloney Family Investment Group, with a particular focus on mining, property and several large technology investments
In 2013 Mark formed Intrepic, an investment company focusing on the well-being & lifestyle space, through which Mark has invested in Garage Entertainment and Sumo Salad.
